While America was sleeping, North Korea attacked the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong. Early morning reports indicate two South Korean marines were killed.
As the America and the world digests new aggression by North Korea, what will President Obama do? Clearly this is the 3 AM call we were warned about. It is common knowledge that North Korea has developed long-range weapons and continues to explore new weapons technology. President Obama must now be bold and forceful to take on the North Korean regime to remain relevant.
But with two overseas diplomatic failures this month alone, can Obama convince other allies on a course of action to restrain North Korea's actions? Clearly, we cannot leave one of our Asian allies, South Korean defenseless and sitting duck waiting for another attack by North Korea.
The clock is ticking, and only time will tell if Obama will make the right choice.
